Across a range of charcoal and conté drawings, Brown confronts pressing issues such as homelessness, environmental degradation, and epidemic disease, as well as universal constants of love and death. In presenting viewers with alternating images contemporary, historical, and timeless, Brown stresses an essential humanity, that is in equal parts challenging and tender. â€‹
