Angennette Escobar
Quiet Migratons
By layering old maps and migratory diagrams, Escobar’s work connects the seasonal routes of species like monarch butterflies with the quiet, often overlooked journeys of human migration. Through drawing, sculpture, and mixed-media installation, Escobar seeks to translate these overlapping patterns into tangible spaces that reflect on the shared realities of displacement and the universal search for belonging.

Places Between Us
My work explores the conversation between anatomy and landscape—the relationship between the body and its environment. I am interested in how our bodies respond to the places we enter, and how certain locations can evoke physical sensations, emotions, and memories.
Through my work, I explore the ways a place can live within the body long after we have left it. Art has become a way for me to find peace in places that hold difficult memories, while also celebrating the places that hold moments of joy, comfort, and connection. By bringing anatomy and landscape together, I create a space where personal memory and environment can exist alongside one another, reflecting the ways our surroundings shape how we feel, remember, and heal.

Places Between Us
As a mixed media artist, I attempt to weave a visual history by creating a multilayered representation where I make a connection between two different narratives. Some elements in my collages come from allegorical mythological images, still frame cinema and vintage photographs.
I primarily work with acrylic and oil, but I also incorporate unconventional materials, such as puzzle pieces and bottle caps, which add complexity and dimension to my compositions.
Through my artwork, I aim to explore the interplay between constructed spaces and the life around them which creates character and meaning. Mythological imagery is purposely used as reference to approach artistic creation themes such as life, death, time, love, desire, and other subjects that are present in human existence.

Benjamin Mefford
Expectant
New abstract sculptures by Benjamin Mefford. Through an organic process of free carving, the sculptures are an intuitive expression of the artist's subconscious. Collectively the works speak to moments of promise. These are those moments in nature just before beauty spontaneously unfolds. The seed that is ready to sprout. The bud that is ready to bloom.
