Sculptor Stephan Soihl has an ambitious agenda: to make beautiful objects that are also performances. To achieve it, he has taught himself basic electronics, engineering and lately the computer science behind microcontrollers in order to convert inert materials such as brass, Plexiglas and tinted motor oil into elegantly choreographed dances of morphing compositions.
