30 newly minted artists hit the Portland scene in Blackfish Gallery’s much-anticipated Recent Graduates exhibition, showcasing the work of Oregon’s top BFA and MFA graduates. The participating artists are selected by their teachers, based on the quality of work created for their senior projects or theses. The opportunity to show at Blackfish has become a de facto award for top grads, and something the institutions and students value highly.

It’s one way the artist-owned-and-operated gallery supports local emerging artists and arts education. For the public, it’s a one-time opportunity to experience the freshest ideas and images emerging from Oregon’s 15 art degree-granting institutions.
