Sandra Roumagoux's painting "Beaver Creek Marsh" has been juried in to the Independence, Oregon exhibition "Art and the City" at the Civic Center. The piece was executed as part of a landscape series Roumagoux exhibited in March of this year, the focus of which was significant natural areas of the Oregon coast. Internationally recognized printmaker Yuji Hiratsuka and artist Eileen Cotter Howell were jurors. A reception is planned for August 6, 2011, from 4pm – 8pm. Exhibition dates are August 6, 2011 through January 5, 2012.
