Retired in 1996 from Pacific Northwest College of Art after teaching since 1960. Served as Acting Director of PNCA from 1978 - 1981. Gave the college graduation address in May, 1996. An exhibiting artist, juror, lecturer and writer for the Oregonian newspaper. Served on numerous committes of selection in the Oregon art community, including helping to select the Director of the Portland Metropolitan Art Commission in 1980. 1998-2001 Lecturer on History of Visual Arts in Oregon, Portland State University, summer teachers program. 1993 Lecture, The Oregon Art Community 1889-1939 for Oregon Historical Society. 1980-pres. Guest artist and lecturer for Sociology Department, Portland State Univ. 1980-83 Member of Oregon’s first major Percent for Arts selection committee for Justice Services Building, Portland, OR 1980 Guest Artist and Lecturer, Cincinnati Academy of Art, Cincinnati, OH 1979-80 Artst member of a three-person Sociology team that interviewed older Oregon artist, under a grant from the Gerontology Department, Portland State University, Portland, OR 1976 Bicentennial lecture, Colgate University, Hamilton, NY 1975 Founder of Alumni and Friends Association, Pacific Northwest College of Art.
